We will share a potluck meal [please bring a dish to share, plus your own plate, cup, and silverware] , engage in community conversation, and discuss this article by Millière, Carhart-Harris, et al on the interrelationships between psychedelics, mediation and self-consciousness (thank you Peter Payne, for sharing!) Introduction to AEDP Judy Silvan will be traveling up from Boston to give an introductory AEDP workshop to our community. For those of you who don't know AEDP, it's an integrative experiential psychotherapy that utilizes explicit attachment/relational experience happening live in the therapeutic dyad, and harnesses the transformative power of deep emotional experiencing to unlock change from within. Judy will be sharing some of her own work via video on this evening. For more information: www.aedpinstitute.org |

Join author Julia Plevin (Dartmouth '09) as she shares the story of her new book The Healing Magic of Forest Bathing and the healing journey that brought her to reconnect to nature. She will share her healing journey from a decade of chronic illness and invite you to share yours. This is a co-creative experience where you're encouraged to bring your medicine — be that a song, a story, or some healthy snacks. About the book: Inspired by the Japanese tradition of shinrin-yoku, forest bathing is the art of spending intentional time in nature and is practiced throughout the world to increase health and restore well-being. More and more people are turning to forest bathing as an evidence-based way to unplug, relieve stress and anxiety, and spark creativity. Through simple invitations to slow down, walk in silence, cultivate tree energy, and connect with the sun and forest, this book enables you to incorporate the inspiring benefits of time spent in nature — a calm mind, renewed energy, boosted creativity, and inner peace — into your daily life to find deeper meaning and contentment. |
